Sales Terms & Conditions

All prices listed herein are net and subject to change without notice. Our terms are net 30 days (subject credit check and for only domestic companies, foreign companies are required to be prepaid) payable in US Dollars, F.O.B. our shipping point. Freight and handling charges will be added to the invoice. A $1.00 minimum handling charge will be added to every shipment.

Conditions of Sale:  all products listed in our website and catalog are sold for industrial or laboratory use only and are not for household use. The solutions are not for food additives, drugs, cosmetics, household chemicals, agricultural products, or other uses. We reserve the right not to sell our chemical products to individuals. Since we have no control over the application of our products, we offer no warranties regarding use, and will not be held responsible for any loss occurred due to the use of any products we have sold. The company (Weiss Research Inc.) assumes no responsibility connected with the use of our products. All products sold by Weiss Research are intended solely for use by technically qualified individuals familiar with the potential hazards and uses of our products. The absence of warnings or other hazard data must not be interpreted to mean that the products are non-hazardous or that it lacks risks in exposure or handling.

Sole and Limited Warranty:  Weiss Research, Inc. warrants only that its products meet labeled specifications. Liability is limited to replacement by like material or to refund of original price, at our choice. Statements and specifications made in this catalog or by Weiss Research, Inc. personnel are strongly believed to be accurate but are presented without warranty of any kind. In no event shall either we or any authorized dealer of our products be liable for any loss or damage, direct, indirect or consequential, arising from the use, misuse or inability to use one or more of our products.

pH electrodes are warranted to be free from defects in material and workmanship for a period of twelve(12) months (shelf life) from the date of purchase if the electrode fails for any reason except abuse or breakage, provided the electrode is not used in solutions containing silver, sulfide, perchlorate, or hydrofluoric acid; or in solutions more than 1M in strong acid or base at temperatures above 50°C, and providing the electrode is used at room temperature (use at extreme temperatures can shorten electrode life).

Solid state Ion-selective electrodes are warranted to be free from defects in material and workmanship for a period of twelve(12) months (shelf life) from the date of purchase except this warranty dose not cover etching of the sensing elements and the breakage of electrodes.

Chemical products (solutions) are warranted for a period of three (3) months from the date of purchase

Though we have a very strong technical service, and our tech support staff has many years of industrial and lab experience, we cannot guarantee we know everything.  But, one thing is for sure, we will work hard to help you solve problems and find references even if it includes spending time in a library. Also, Weiss has accumulated many references through the years.  If you have questions about applications, simply give us a call, whether it is pre-purchase or post-sales.
